Cuff Links

The pattern is etched onto cherry wood. I hand sand all sides of the wood disc so that it won't snag and has a soft hand. Then I finish it with a polyuerethane finish to seal and protect the wood from liquids and food. I mount the wood onto the cuff link blanks with super glue so they are extremely sturdy. Wood is a natural material so all cuff links are different but that's also what makes each pair unique.

Frawn is a one woman jewelry and accessory making operation that I started one year ago. I am a commercial interior designer by day and jewelry maker, teacher by night. My passion for jewelry making began as a young child and has developed as my skills and tools have changed over the years.
Frawn is made up of three lines: Wild Animals, The Built Environment, and my Grandmothers Patterns. I live in Portland, Oregon and grew up in Seattle, Washington and have always been inspired by the rich beauty of the northwest. For my earrings I chose some of my favorite wild animals in the northwest and I etch their delicate images onto wood or cut the silhouettes out...
